Website Redesign
It has been a while (almost a year) since I posted about the state of my website. I greatly enjoy my attempts to clean it up and make it work the way I want it to. Over the past couple of weeks, I gave the site a pretty major overhaul visually. If you are running your own Drupal installation or are just curious what I've done to the site you might find this a handy guide.
DISQUS comes to Darktouch.Net
For a while now, I've been searching for a solution to a problem. I want to make it quick and easy for my visitors to respond to posts I make on the site. Darktouch.Net is certainly not the biggest site on the net nor will it ever be and making a visitor sign up for a login to the site is if not rude, then at least inconvenient.
Progress on the Site
I've been working on my site here and there during my free time. One nice thing that I've found with Drupal (Currently in version 6.9 - I've been very good about keeping up with my security updates) is that it is fairly easy to add things to the system, play around with them and then uninstall if you don't like it. I've given a few different modules a try over the past few months and now have moved things to the front where they can be easily seen. I will admit though that site maintenance is a whole lot easier when you only have one user to worry about.
Current Modules:
Upgrade to Drupal 6.3
Upgrade has been made to version 6.3.
This one wasn't very painful and the site was down for less than an hour. While I was in there, I added a photo gallery module as well. I'm going to need to build out the menu for it still, but if you want to take a quick look, you can find it by clicking here.

Cinco de Mayo Upgrade
Yesterday, I upgraded the site.
I moved from a Drupal 6.1 to 6.2 installation. Ultimately, it wasn't a major release but
Main Page
This is the place holder for the main wiki page. I'll put in more info when I figure out what I'm going to actually do with a Wiki.

Old Welcome Page
Welcome to Touch of Darkness (Dot) Net. DarkTouch is one of those online names that I picked up long ago and back in the day. Almost 15 years ago now. Along the way it has managed to stick and whatever meaning it had back when I first picked it up has long since been erased. If I remember correctly, it was one of the few names I could find at the time that didn't force me to add a number onto the end of it. So that was a big plus.
